Extensions consultations are required at Main Muse Salon. Your stylist will find the perfect match for your hair depending on your hair goals and needs.

Each of our extension appointments include your hair color. Your stylist will begin coloring your hair to ensure the best blend. Then while you are processing, your stylist will work on custom coloring your extensions. Once your hair and your extension hair are blown dry, the install begins. Once the install is complete your stylist will cut the extensions to create a natural, seamless blend then style. Allow 4-5 hours for this appointment.

Your 6-8 week maintenance appointment will begin by carefully removing the extensions, (color maintenance if needed), wash and blow drying both your hair and the extension hair and then re-installing the extensions, finishing with a style.

We offer two different installation methods: Invisible Hair Extensions and beaded sew-in.

The Invisible Hair Extensions consists of the hand-tied extensions sewn-in into your natural hair in a way that makes them invisible and offers a flawless, natural look.

The beaded sew-in method consists of fastening of sewing the extensions onto the top of the bead. The only difference is when you where your hair in a ponytail you can see the beads underneath.

At your consultation, your stylist will determine which method is best for you depending on your hair goals.

• Brush your hair using soft bristle brushes, and do so throughout the day to minimize breakage and tangles.

• Avoid prolonged sun exposure, chlorine and saltwater.

• Use hydrating products such as leave-in conditioners and hair masks.

• Avoid going to bed with wet hair. Make sure to brush, detangle and secure your hair gently when sleeping.

• Shield your hair extensions from harmful UV rays.

• Bring hair oil for your extensions.

• Protect your hair extensions from chemicals.

• Properly wear your hair extensions when swimming.

• Avoid brushing your hair extensions when wet.
